The Parasitology Museum was founded in the year 1970 by the initiative of Professor Wichitr Chaiyaporn, MD, who was the chairman of the Department of Parasitology at that time. Its purpose was to collect various parasites and venomous animals related to medicine for educational purposes and as a source of knowledge in this field.

Inside the Parasitology Museum, various types of parasites are displayed, such as tapeworm and whipworm. There also are models and showcases illustrating the life cycles of parasites that are important and commonly found in Thailand, i.e. liver fluke. Additionally, the museum also exhibits organs of humans and animals affected by parasitic diseases, as well as medically significant venomous animals like venomous spiders, scorpions, bees, and snakes.
