หน่วยวิจัยเพื่อขับเคลื่อนนโยบายสุขภาพเข้าร่วมโครงการวิจัยระดับโลก
หน่วยวิจัยเพื่อขับเคลื่อนนโยบายสุขภาพ Siriraj Health Policy คณะแพทยศาสตร์ศิริราชพยาบาล มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล ร่วมกับ มหาวิทยาลัย Northumbria (สหราชอาณาจักร), สถาบัน The George Institute for Global Health (ประเทศอินเดีย), มหาวิทยาลัย Hanoi Medical University (ประเทศเวียดนาม) และมหาวิทยาลัย University of Essex (สหราชอาณาจักร) ในการทำวิจัยระดับนานาชาติร่วมกัน ภายใต้โครงการ SUNWAI (Social Participation for Universal Health Coverage: Evidence-Informed Networks Advancing Inclusion) ซึ่งได้รับทุนสนับสนุนจากรัฐบาลสหราชอาณาจักร ผ่านสถาบัน National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR)
โครงการวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาและวิเคราะห์การมีส่วนร่วมทางสังคมในการขับเคลื่อนนโยบายหลักประกันสุขภาพถ้วนหน้า (UHC) ในเอเชีย พร้อมทั้งนำบทเรียนและองค์ความรู้ที่ได้มาสนับสนุนกระบวนการดังกล่าว เพื่อผลักดันการเปลี่ยนแปลงเชิงนโยบาย ส่งเสริมความเสมอภาคในการเข้าถึงบริการสุขภาพ และสร้างผลลัพธ์ด้านสุขภาพที่ดีขึ้น โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งสำหรับกลุ่มผู้มีความหลากหลายทางเพศ
ระหว่างวันที่ 8–12 กันยายน 2568 ดร. ภญ.พัทธรา ลีฬหวรงค์ รองหัวหน้าหน่วยฯ และคุณกฤติมา สมิทธิ์พล นักวิจัย, ผศ.ดร. ธีรพัฒน์ อังศุชวาล จากคณะสังคมศาสตร์และมนุษยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล, และคุณรีน่า จันทร์อำนวยสุข จากสถาบันเพื่อการวิจัยและนวัตกรรมด้านเอชไอวี พร้อมด้วยผู้แทนจากสถาบันภาคี ได้เข้าร่วมการประชุมโครงการอย่างเป็นทางการครั้งแรก ณ มหาวิทยาลัย Northumbria เมือง Newcastle สหราชอาณาจักร
การประชุมประกอบด้วยการหารือเชิงวิชาการ กิจกรรมสร้างความร่วมมือ และการจัดสัมมนา Global Health Seminar: Social Participation for Health – Perspectives of Sexual and Gender Minority Groups in Asia ซึ่งเป็นเวทีให้ประเทศภาคีนำเสนอข้อมูล แลกเปลี่ยนมุมมอง และหารือถึงบทบาทของโครงการ SUNWAI ในการขับเคลื่อนระบบสุขภาพที่ครอบคลุมและเท่าเทียมผ่านการมีส่วนร่วมของสังคมในระดับโลก
Siriraj Health Policy Joins Global Research Collaboration
Siriraj Health Policy, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, has joined forces with Northumbria University (UK), The George Institute for Global Health (India), Hanoi Medical University (Vietnam), and the University of Essex (UK) in a new international research collaboration under the SUNWAI (Social Participation for Universal Health Coverage: Evidence-Informed Networks Advancing Inclusion) project, funded by the UK Government through the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR).
This project aims to study and analyse how social participation drives Universal Health Coverage (UHC) policy in Asia, and to apply the lessons learned and evidence generated to strengthen and support policy change. The goal is to promote equity in access to healthcare and achieve better health outcomes, particularly for sexual and gender minority groups.
From 8–12 September 2025, Dr. Pattara Leelahavarong and Ms. Kritima Samitpol from Siriraj Health Policy, Faculty of Medicine, Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, Asst. Prof. Dr. Theerapat Ungsuchaval from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Mahidol University, and Ms. Rena Janamnuaysook from the Institute of HIV Research and Innovation, together with representatives from partner institutions, convened for the first official consortium meeting at Northumbria University, Newcastle, UK.
The program featured academic discussions, partnership-building activities, and the Global Health Seminar: Social Participation for Health – Perspectives of Sexual and Gender Minority Groups in Asia, which provided a platform for partner countries to share information, exchange perspectives, and discuss SUNWAI’s role in advancing inclusive and equitable health systems through social participation at the global level.
