เมื่อวันที่ 20 กรกฎาคม 2566 หน่วยวิจัยเพื่อขับเคลื่อนนโยบายสุขภาพ ได้รับเกียรติจาก คณาจารย์และนักศึกษา หลักสูตรวิทยาศาสตร์ มหาบัณฑิตและหลักสูตรปรัชญาดุษฎีบัณฑิต สาขาการประเมินเทคโนโลยีด้านสุขภาพ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดลพร้อมด้วยคณะดูงานจากองค์กร The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) สหพันธ์สาธารณรัฐไนจีเรีย นำโดย Dr. Yakubu Adole Agada-Amade GM, Standards and Quality Assurance Department เพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้การพัฒนาสิทธิประโยชน์ด้านสุขภาพและสวัสดิการของผู้สูงอายุในประเทศไทย และประสบการณ์ทำงานของหน่วยในการทำวิจัยเพื่อนำไปใช้ประโยชน์เชิงนโยบาย ณ ห้องประชุม 304 – 305 ชั้น 3 อาคารเฉลิมพระเกียรติ 80 พรรษา 5 ธันวาคม 2550 (SiMR) คณะแพทยศาสตร์ศิริราชพยาบาล
โดย รศ. พญ. วราลักษณ์ ศรีนนท์ประเสริฐ หัวหน้าหน่วย และ ดร.ภญ. พัทธรา ลีฬหวรงค์ รองหัวหน้าหน่วยวิจัยเพื่อขับเคลื่อนนโยบายสุขภาพ คณะแพทยศาสตร์ศิริราชพยาบาล ได้นำเสนอถึงการให้ความสำคัญในประเด็นด้านผู้สูงอายุ ที่คณะแพทยศาสตร์ศิริราชมีความพยายามในการผลักดันประเด็นสุขภาพดังกล่าวในมิติต่างๆ เช่น การส่งเสริมสุขภาพและป้องกันโรค การรักษาพยายาบาล การให้ความรู้ การขับเคลื่อนนโยบาย
ในการนำเสนอนี้ ทางหน่วยได้ยืนยันให้เห็นถึงความพยายามผลักดันให้เกิดผลสัมฤทธิ์ของการทำวิจัยเพื่อขับเคลื่อนนโยบาย โดยทำงานร่วมกับเครือข่ายต่างๆ เพื่อสร้างสุขภาวะที่ดีแก่ผู้สูงอายุ เช่น รัฐสวัสดิการ การเข้าถึงบริการสุขภาพ สิทธิประโยชน์ด้านสุขภาพของผู้สูงอายุ โดยมุ่งหวังและส่งเสริมให้กลุ่มผู้สูงอายุที่เป็นกลุ่มเปราะบางมีคุณภาพชีวิตที่ดีถ้วนหน้าโดยไม่ทิ้งใครไว้ข้างหลัง
On July 20, 2023, the Siriraj Health Policy Unit (SiHP) had the honor of hosting a delegation from Mahidol University Health Technology Assessment (MUHTA) Program Graduate School and The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) of the Republic of Nigeria. The delegation, led by Dr. Yakubu Adole Agada-Amade, General Manager of the Standards and Quality Assurance Department, visited the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, for knowledge exchange.
The delegation's visit aimed to explore and learn from the experiences of the Siriraj Health Policy Unit on developing a healthcare benefits package for the Thai elderly at the national level. The exchange took place at His Majesty the King's 80th Birthday Anniversary 5th December 2007 Building (SIMR), Siriraj Hospital.
During the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Varalak Srinonprasert, the head of the SiHP, and Dr. Pattara Leelahavarong, the deputy head of the SiHP, presented the significance of issues related to the health and welfare of the Thai elderly population. They highlighted the efforts made by the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital in promoting health issues concerning the elderly in myriad dimensions, such as health promotion and disease prevention, healthcare, education (health literacy), and evidence-based driven policy implementation.
The presentation showcased the unit's and partners' endeavours to drive research initiatives to improve the health and well-being of the elderly population. They emphasised aspects e.g., accessibility to healthcare services and the benefits received by elderly individuals from different demographic groups. The unit aspires to enhance the quality of life for these vulnerable groups, ensuring that no one is left behind.
