The Center of Applied Thai Traditional Medicine is an institution of higher learning having 4 chief missions:

• to provide education
• conduct research
• offer academic services, and
• preserve Thai culture

It plays an important role in supporting the mission of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital to preserve Thai culture through the development and preservation of Thai traditional medicine based on scientific principles, providing education designed to produce high-quality graduates in the field of applied Thai traditional medicine at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, conducting research, compiling bodies of knowledge, offering treatment and improving standards of health through Thai traditional medicine, producing herbal medicines and other plant-based products, and providing guidance to Thai society.
