Course description:

Microbiology: Micro-organism including bacteria, viruses and fungi of medical importance are described in terms of source and vector, morphology, properties, diseases and basic laboratory investigations.
Parasitology: Morphology, life cycle, epidemiology, basic guidelines for the diagnosis and principles of control of diseases caused by protozoa, helminths, arthropods and venomous animals of medical importance and common in Thailand.
Immunology: Components of immune system and function of each component. Roles of immune system in resistance to and causing disease. Principles of immunological diagnosis, prevention and treatment of diseases.
