Undergraduate Program

Department of Parasitology collaborates with other departments to provide learning/teaching activities for students of three bachelor's degree programs including Doctor of Medicine, Applied Thai Traditional Medicine, and Techonology (in Medical Education Techinology)  programs. Seventeen courses, both required and elective courses, were opened.

Doctor of Medicine Program

Collaboratively teaching to the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 6th-year medical students, covering a total of 15 courses, both required and elective courses.

Applied Thai Traditional Medicine Program

Collaboratively teaching a required course to the 2nd-year applied thai traditional medicine students.

Technology Program
in Medical Educational Technology

Collaboratively teaching a required course to the 3rd-year students from the Vejnitatphattana School.

Doctor of Medicine Program

Department of Parasitology offers the learning activities for medical students at both the pre-clinical level (2nd, 3rd, and 4th-year) and the clinical level (6th year). These include both required and elective courses, 15 courses in toal.

Course description:

Study and apply knowledge of preventive medicine and family medicine for the patients care as a holistic approach.

Course description:

Course descrition:

The study and practice in interested clinical experience, adaptation to new environment and study in interested culture of other institutes including development of language skill (in case of going aboard).

Course description:

  1. Microbiology: Micro-organism including bacteria, viruses and fungi of medical importance are described in terms of source and vector, morphology, properties, diseases and basic laboratory investigations.
  2. Parasitology: Morphology, life cycle, epidemiology, basic guidelines for the diagnosis and principles of control of diseases caused by protozoa, helminths, arthropods and venomous animals of medical importance and common in Thailand.
  3. Immunology: Components of immune system and function of each component. Roles of immune system in resistance to and causing disease. Principles of immunological diagnosis, prevention and treatment of diseases.
