S8 : Current concepts in teaching palliative care
   Palliative care is an important aspect of patient care that physicians in all specialties must be competent. However, many medical teachers are reluctant or uncomfortable to teach palliative care to their learners due to the lack of awareness of its importance, lack of knowledge or skills in teaching. In this session, experts in palliative care teaching from many medical schools will share their experience and give advice on how to effectively teach this important skill set.

Dr.Sakon Singha is The head of Paliative Care Unit, Songklanagarind Hospital and Vice president of Palliative Care Association of Thailand. He was completed residency training in Surgery, Songklanagarind Hospital.
