S7 : Achieving patient safety through IPE
Patient safety education has been receiving a lot of attention in both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. Patient safety cannot be achieved by providing knowledge to a few physicians, but can be achieved by changing knowledge, skills, and attitudes of all personnel involved with patient care services. Through such effort, health care professionals can work together effectively to reduce medical error. Interprofessional education (IPE) is an interesting study format that should be applied in teaching patient safety.
