Ouay Ketusingh Museum of History of Thai Medicine displays an exhibition of our Thai traditional medicine commonly used in the ancient time, such as how to deliver the babies in the past and what mothers had to do during the postpartum period and the secret power of herbal medicine and old fashioned pharmacy.

Several artifact reflects a close and strong influence of Buddhist and folklore knowledge on Thai traditional medicine such as a use of “Chaleaw” made by woven bamboo pitches to protect the medicine from bad spirits, the royal club authorized by the King for his royal physician to have a full right to collect herbs and medicinal plants anywhere in the kingdom and the complete set of exercise routine introduced by ancient ascetics.
