On August 20 2013, Clinical Professor Udom Kachintorn (Dean of Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University) handed certificates to Siriraj security guards who successfully completed the “English Course for Security Guards” program. The program was magnificently greeted by a total of 220 enthusiastic security guards—divided into 12 classes and lasted 3 month, from May 5 to July 29.
“English Course for Security Guards” was a project run by International Relation Division aiming to help the Faculty’s security guards to develop their skills in English conversation.
Professor Chirayu Auewarakul (Deputy Dean for International Relations) reported the overall assessment of the project: 80% of the attendants were satisfied with the course very much and all of the 220 attendants “passed” this course. These graduated security guards are the first post to meet and effectively communicate with foreigners, thus they will create a better perception on the Faculty as a supreme medical institution in South East Asia.
