Anesthesiology resident training at Siriraj started long way back to 1951 (15 years before the department was founded) when there was only 2 residents. It has been more than a half century and now we currently have 20-25 residents a class and that make total of 60-75 residents in the department. The residency at Siriraj is very well balanced between didactic and clinical work. They are also entitled to assist in research projects. The popularity of anesthesiology resident in Thailand now is at peak, in the past year we have applicants twice number of accepting positions. The board passing rate is as high as 99% and the graduates are placed for decent jobs nationwide.
